1 Purpose
To explain how to complete an Accreditation Case Form.
2 Scope
This schedule must be read in conjunction with the Program Accreditation Procedure and is subordinate to it.
3 Schedule
3.1 Quality assurance
3.1.1 Staff
Demonstrate that staff who teach Students in this program:
- are appropriately qualified in the relevant discipline for their level of teaching (qualified to at least one Qualification Standards level higher than the program of study being taught or with equivalent professional experience);
- have a sound understanding of current scholarship and/or adult learning principles relevant to the Student cohort being taught;
- engage Students in intellectual inquiry appropriate to the level of the program of study and Course being taught; and
- are advised of Student and other feedback on the quality of their teaching and have opportunities to improve their teaching.
This information may be provided by a commentary, or by providing an appropriate URL/supporting documentation used for an external accreditation.
3.1.2 Placements
Demonstrate that effective arrangements are in place to assure the quality of Student work placements, practicum and other forms of work-integrated learning in the program of study, including assuring the quality of supervision.
3.2 Planning
3.2.1 Standards
Detail how it is planned to demonstrate that the academic standards intended to be achieved by Students and the standards actually achieved by Students in the program of study are benchmarked against similar accredited programs of study offered by other higher education providers.
3.2.2 Progression, completion and Graduate Attributes
Detail how it is planned to demonstrate the appropriate progression and completion rates and that Students who complete the program of study have attained Graduate Attributes and an appropriate level of English language proficiency.
