Purpose:

Provides academic employees with the opportunity to be recognised for their contribution to the University.

Applicable to any University academic employee

1 Policy Statement

The University Council has approved the following policies in relation to Awards for Excellence for academic employees:

  • up to two (2) USQ Senior Learning and Teaching Fellowships and up to five (5) USQ Associate Learning and Teaching Fellowships which aim to advance learning and teaching within the University by supporting leading staff to undertake high profile projects and activities that are of direct strategic benefit to the University;

  • up to three (3) Awards for Teaching Excellence to members of the University staff who have demonstrated excellence in teaching, one of which may be for an Early Career Teacher;

  • up to three (3) Awards for Programs and Services that Enhance Learning, to members of the University staff who have made an outstanding contribution to the quality of student learning and the student experience in the University;

  • up to five (5) University Citations for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning to members of the University staff who have made an outstanding contribution to the quality of student learning in a specific area of responsibility over a sustained period.
